Here I go!

Well, Here I go! I'm so nervous I can hardly walk. This place is so huge, M.D. Anderson employs about 63,000 people. O.K. I just glanced at my watch and it is on upside down. My tour director is telling me we have to go.

Love to all,
Kim

Kim--immediately after reading the title of your blog- the tune below popped into my head-and I could just hear your sweet voice singing this song as you jumped on the shuttle.
Praying for God's Perfect Will. bd

"Here I am, Lord. Is it I, Lord?
I have heard you calling in the night.
I will go, Lord, if you lead me.
I will hold your people in my heart."

Kim,

We are praying and anxiously awaiting to hear how your visit went. If you need anything, please let us know. The kids are welcome here and I can get them at school w/ my boys. Just let us know. Your post yesterday was so honest. God's sovereignty is a biggie-especially when it includes things we don't want in our lives. He is using you as a testimony of His grace that, like Job, you are trusting Him no matter the circumstance. I know from my own experience that it is gut-wrenching to let go of everything and completely trust Him, but doing that is exactly what He desires and is what brings Him the glory and brings us closer to Him. Your healing and grace for the journey is daily our prayer for you and the whole family.

Hugs!

Kim,
I was having my daily quiet time and I came across Paul's prayer to the saints from Ephesians. I just love this prayer and I love praying God's word. I pray this for you today.

Ephesians 3:14-21
For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
that He would grant you(Kim), according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man,
that Christ may dwell in your(Kim's) heart through faith; that
you(Kim), being rooted and grounded in love,
may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height-
to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you(Kim) may be filled with all the fullness of God.
Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us(Kim),
to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

This came from The New King James Version. This bible is the one my family gave to Rick in 1985 in celebration of his high school graduation. It is signed by Gary, Susan, Beverly and Jason Billions. Rick was an agnostic at the time. My daddy wanted him to have a copy of God's word. It was some 15 years later that he put his faith and trust into Jesus christ. He had kept the bible all those years. Miracles happen every day.
I love you!
Beverly

Kim,

Know that you are not alone!!!! I remember my first day at Mayo Clinic like it was yesterday, and it was 15 years ago. In fact I wandered through the halls thinking I was alone physically, but knowing that God was with me every step of the way. I walked through the halls humming the song "Be Not Afraid, " and almost laughing. Strange, I know..but know that God is with you as well as a bunch of people from all over. Take care!!! Lynn P.

Hi Kim
I just heard of your most recent battle. It sounds like you are in the right place at MD Anderson. Please know you, your family and your doctors are in my thoughts and prayers and I will continue to pray for yours and their wisdom, strength, and courage as you face this next battle.
