I send prayers of comfort and rest for you and your family. May God keep you and strengthen you. These words are from one of my favorite songs by Jill Phillips. It's called "I Am".

Oh gently lay your head
Upon my chest
And I will comfort you like a mother while you rest
And the tide can change so fast
But I will stay
The same through past the same in future the same today

I am constant
I am near
I am peace that shatters all your secret fears
I am holy
I am wise
I’m the only one who knows your heart’s desires
Your heart’s desires

Oh weary tired and worn
Let out your sighs
Drop that heavy load you hold cause mine is light
And I know you through and through
There’s no need to hide
I want to show you love that is deep and high and wide

Hi Mark,
Thank you for updating us. While this illness continues to affect Kim's body, it will NEVER affect Kim's spirit, which is in Him and has shown enormous faith and courage.

"For the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control"
Galations 5:22-23

We continue to lift your family in prayer and believe He will never leave any of you.

Dear God,
Help them turn to You as their refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. Go before them and protect them from behind. Be their shade from the heat, their shelter from the storm, their hiding place—protect them from trouble. Watch over them, for You never sleep. Their lives are in Your hands; may they trust in You and not be afraid. (Psalm 46:1; Isaiah 52:12; 25:4b; Psalm 32:7a; 121:4–5; 31:15; 56:11)

In Jesus' name, amen.

Mark & Kim:

The prayers of Peter Marshall are among my favorite. The following prayer is titled "To Face the Future Without Fear":

Thou knowest, Father, the things of which we are afraid -- the terror by night, the arrow by day that takes us unawares and often finds us without a vital, ready faith.
We know that Thou hast not promised to surround us with immunity from all the ills to which flesh is heir. We only pray that when they come, if come they must, they shall find us unafraid and with adequate resources to meet them.
Give us a constant faith and a steady courage, that we may neither whimper nor in peevish petulance complain before Thee.
We thank Thee that Thou dost still rule over the world that Thou hast made. Kings and emperors come and depart. All the shouting and the tumult, the screaming hurricanes of time have not deviated Thee from Thy path.
Help us to remember, O Christ, that Thou art victorious -- Christus Victor -- reigning over all; that in due time, in Thine own good time, Thou wilt work all things together for good to them that love Thee, who are called according to Thy purpose.
May we find our refuge in that regnant faith, and so face the future without fear. Give to us Thy peace, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

We love you! The Spencer's

Oh, how we all need to let the earthly things grow dim so we may see his wonderful glory and grace.
