True story to share

One afternoon, while Mom and Dad were on their way to Jonesboro, they decided to stop and purchase some one cent stamps since they had not had time before leaving Benton. They stopped in a small town on the way. I'm talking Population about 75. When mom walked in, she noticed the postal clerk just starring at her. Finally, the woman remarked "you look so familiar." Well, those of you who know my Mother, know that was all she needed to go through the last 60 years of her life trying to figure out the connection.

The woman finally recognized my mother to have been the nurse that assisted the doctor's delivering her baby 28 years ago. The woman ended up needing a C-section and since there were no doctors available in this small town, a doctor had to be flown in who was qualified to perform the procedure. The woman was knocked out and my mother began praying over her.

When the woman woke up, all she saw was my Mother praying. She still remembered thinking "I know everything will be alright." Just a case of coincidence or chance? You will never convince me of this.

A letter was waiting on mom when she returned home. The woman in the Post Office wrote that before she had left for work the day she ran into my mom, she was wondering "if today would be any different than yesterday" and asking Him "do you hear my prayers? You don't even have to answer, but just let me know you hear." Only a few hours later was when my mom walked through the door of that small Post Office in the middle of nowhere.

God confirmed He hears our prayers. He showed this woman that He has been listening to her all along. We may or may not ever know how our actions will affect others, or how our prayers effect others lives. The woman told mom "you prayed for my son 28 years ago and I have now been given the privilege to pray for your daughter." I know he's listening.

How neat! Of course He's listening...never doubt it. It's so reassuring when we get that confirmation in some "coincidental" way. We had a wonderful visit with your mom & dad up on the mountain last week. Love you. Blanche

Just today I was going thru a prayer journal I started 2 years ago and it is AMAZING all of the prayers He has answered and situations He has resolved. You are going to rock your baby's babies Kim, I believe it. Love, Alicia

Oh, Kim that is awesome! The Lord is great and HE IS LISTENING. We must believe that without wavering and just when we might begin to think He does not hear our prayers we walk inside the post office?...!Amazing. Thanks for sharing. I have only met your mom a couple of times but she is exactly the spitting image of you. You can't help but love her too! Sending many prayers your way.

Hi Kim,
I told our kids this story and now they're telling all their friends! Sometimes we need to hear how God "shows up" in our lives when we really need Him. The message our pastor gave today involved prayer and that we should pray with chutzpah-or "raw nerve." Kim, after reading through your past blogs again, you have definitely prayed EXPECTING God's blessings. You are an inspiration to me, my family and so many others. I hope you're having a good Sunday...you and Mark and the kids are in our prayers...and we're praying them with lots of chutzpah!
Love, Jennifer Baltz

Precious Kim,
You are loved. We had a wonderful prayer meeting in your honor here tonight!!! We decided that you are actually witnessing to us more than us being here to serve you :-)Fifteen women of God here in Fayetteville are praying and BELIEVING for a miracle upon your body. Karen is going to send you the scriptures we prayed. You are so loved. We are asking, seeking, knocking, BELIEVING.
Love,
Alicia

Father, you have a perfect plan. Wisdom and power are yours. Grant Kim patience as she waits for you Lord. Grant her strength as she seeks you and deliver her from all her fears. (Psalm 27:14 & 34:4)

As a descendant of Abraham, Kim will receive the promises to your people which includes healing of diseases. Let Kim stand strong and fully assured of her healing. May she walk by faith. (Romans 4:17)

FUMC is blessed to have 2 spirit filled pastors who lift "Jesus"up and who teach us how to become disciples of Christ.
The lady's song about Praising God was not just good; it was HOLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A true story-The insect man came Fri. to spray. I had not personally seen him I guess in a year. He came to the door. He wanted to visit. He asked how I was doing? He said that his church had prayed for me all year. I do not even know the man's name or what church he attends. Once again, Prayers prayed in the name of Jesus have no denominations!
I continue to pray for your physical healing!!!! cb
